Player to Watch No. 3 - Defensive End Boye Mafe

Boye Mafe has been on an impressive run this season. He has collected a sack in each of his last six games and wreaked havoc in the passing game. In his second year in the NFL, Mafe has turned into one of the Seahawks' best pass rushers. The Seahawks for years have been in search of their next big sack master ever since Michael Bennett was traded and an injury forced Cliff Avril into an unfortunate early retirement. Mafe has put NFL quarterbacks on notice these past six games and is becoming a force to be reckoned with on the Seahawks' defense.

Mafe leads a strong defensive line unit and his play has been a welcome sign for a defense that recently lost one of their leaders Uchenna Nwosu. Mafe has really stepped up in Nwosu's absence taking over as the Seahawks sack leader with six on the season. He also had big fumble recovery against the Browns which eventually led to a Seahawks touchdown. Mafe has certainly become a key contributor to the Seahawks defense.

The Commanders have allowed the second most sacks of any team this season with 44 sacks allowed on the season. Boye Mafe could extend his streak of six straight games with a sack on Sunday given the Commanders' struggles to protect their quarterback. The Seahawks' defense is looking for a bounce-back game following an ugly performance in Baltimore. Boye Mafe and the Seahawks defensive line, which recently added Leonard Williams after last week's trade deadline, look to lead the way on Sunday against the Commanders.
