Who are the announcers and referees for Seahawks vs. Lions today?
By Lee Vowell
The Seattle Seahawks play the Detroit Lions in Week 4, but Seattle is limping into the game. Seattle will be without four key players on defense including two, Leonard Williams and Boye Mafe, who are in the top ten of the NFL in quarterback pressures. That is a lot of missing talent.
Seattle will get running back Kenneth Walker III back for the game, at least. Walker ran for over 100 yards in Week 1 but then missed the next two games with an oblique injury. Seattle's offense was sketchy without him in Week 2.
The good part is that Seattle - win or lose - will still have the lead in the NFC West after the game. This will be new head coach Mike Macdonald's first real test defensively, though. The Seahawks have faced three not-great quarterbacks this season. On Monday, they will play Jared Goff, who is a great fit for Detroit's scheme. But who is calling the game, you ask?
Seahawks vs. Lions announcers for Week 4
The Seahawks and Lions will meet on Monday Night Football, which you can see on about a million different channels. OK, it is not that much, but it's close. You can tune in on ESPN, ABC, ESPN2, and ESPN Deportes. The announcers are the same for those first three networks, though, and include Joe Buck on play-by-play, Troy Aikman doing analysis, and Lisa Salters reporting from the sidelines.
In Seattle, you can watch the game on KOMO-TV, channel 4. If you are a 12 that lives in Detroit but cannot go to the game, you can watch on WXYZ, which is channel 7.
If you subscribe to the NFL Sunday Ticket, you cannot watch the game there, but if you have YouTube TV you should be able to. You can also stream the game on ESPN+. If you want to listen to the game, you can. In Seattle, you can tune in at Seattle Sports 710 AM and KIRO Newsradio 97.3.
Seahawks vs. Lions head referee for Week 4
The head official for the Week 4 game will be Alex Kemp. He has been in the league since 2014 and has been a referee since 2018. Kemp has been a referee during four Seahawks games since 2018. Oddly, the first three were against the San Francisco 49ers. The other was last year's Lions game. In other words, Kemp will have called five Seattle games since 2018, but only against two different teams.
Seattle is 3-1 in games Kemp has called so far for Seattle, though. Maybe he is a good luck charm.
