Week 9 wasn't all bad for Seattle, but the game was 99 percent bad.

Winner No. 1 - Edge rusher Boye Mafe

I could have also gone with linebacker Jordyn Brooks here as well. Brooks led the team with 11 tackles, had a pass defended on good coverage on a wheel route, and had a tackle for loss. He will be expensive to sign this offseason, but he's shown that he seems even better after a late 2022 knee injury and he should be a key on the Seahawks defense for years to come.

But I will go with Boye Mafe who had a strip-sack of Lamar Jackson and that is Mafe's sixth-straight game with a sack tying a team record set in 1997 by Michael Sinclair. Mafe leads the Seahawks in sacks (6), quarterback hits (9), and is second in tackles for loss (6).

Mafe is 15th in the league in sacks, but every player above him has played at least one more game. He also has the second-best pass-rush win rate in the league behind only the Cleveland Browns' Myles Garrett. Mafe probably isn't going to make the Pro Bowl this season as he plays in the Pacific Northwest and he isn't overly flashy, but 12s know how good he has become.

Mafe should be expected to get 10-plus sacks and 20-plus quarterback hits this year. Then the league might take notice of him generally, though you can be sure that offensive coordinators around the league know his name by now.
