Winner No. 2 - Kicker Jason Myers

Bounce back week completed for Jason Myers. After beginning the season going 3 of 6 on field goals through the first two games, Myers kept Seattle in the game into the third quarter in Week 3. He went 5 for 5 on field goals before Seattle scored its first touchdown against the Carolina Panthers. Imagine if Myers went 3 for 5? The entire outlook of the game might have changed.

But Myers wasn't just iffy on his field goal attempts. He was dividing the goalposts in half. If he was at all struggling with confidence after the first two weeks, it didn't show. Some 12s might have started to wonder why the team gave Myers a longish extension this offseason (Myers re-signed for four years and $21.1 million) as kickers tend to go bad fast and Myers appeared on the verge of turning rotten.

He didn't, though. Now Myers is 8 for 11 in 2023. Funny what a week makes. Myers is now tied for 5th in most field goals made in 2023. He's also made all seven of his extra points and that's extremely important in the last few years as extra points have been moved back to basically being 33-yard field goals.

Also, two of Myers missed field goals in 2023 are 48-yards and beyond so maybe we should cut him some slack. Another way of looking at it might be that inside 48 yards, Myers has made 8 of his 9 attempts this year. Seattle doesn't have a kicker problem and Myers proved that again against the Panthers.
