Some Seattle Seahawks players have attended numerous Seattle Mariners games, and that's how it should be. After all, while the players participate in a different sport, there are only a handful of professional athletes in any given city. The community between them is real.
It is not just current Seattle football players who are bought into the baseball madness, either. Richard Sherman, a likely future Pro Football Hall of Famer whose best seasons were with the Seahawks and still lives in the Seattle area, is clearly tuned to what is happening with the Mariners.
During Seattle's epic 15-inning American League Division Series game five victory over the Detroit Tigers, Sherman tweeted several times about the game. But his final one, summarizing Jorge Polanco's game-winning single and the immediate aftermath, was his most succinct and on point.
Richard Sherman is just like the rest of Seattle Seahawks fans when it comes to the Mariners
Sherman posted a very short GIF of the players on the field and explained that it was a short video that he filmed himself since he was at the game. The caption read, "Have a day @Mariners!!!"

Of course, the Mariners aren't just "having a day," and that is obviously not what Sherman meant. He was celebrating like the rest of the Mariners fans were. Richard Sherman might not originally be from the Seattle area, but he has been a part of the fabric of the community for more than a decade. He is as much a Mariners fan (and probably a Seahawks fan) as anyone else.
Next for Sherman's viewing experience will be watching the Seattle Mariners travel to play the Toronto Blue Jays to start the American League Championship Series. The ALCS will begin on Sunday, with the first two games in Toronto before the series plays three straight in Seattle starting Wednesday.

Or maybe only two games will need to be played in Seattle. Perhaps the Mariners win the first two games, and then pull off a sweep of the series by winning the next two in Seattle. No matter how the Mariners win the series (if they do), the team will be in the World Series for the first time in franchise history. One can bet Sherman and a lot of Seahawks players will be watching.
