Goodness, we are through just one round of the 2025 NFL draft, and the Seattle Seahawks still have nine draft choices left to go. At least, the team made a likely sage move in round one when general manager John Schneider chose North Dakota State offensive lineman Grey Zabel.
Zabel should be an immediate starter for Seattle, probably at left guard. The team still has question marks at center and right guard, but maybe those get addressed on Day 2 of the draft. Perhaps the Seahawks choose Georgia's Tate Ratledge in the second round. Potentially, they take his teammate, Jared Wilson, in the third or fourth rounds.
Or maybe Schneider and head coach Mike Macdonald believe the players already on the roster are good enough. Olu Oluwatimi will start at center, and Christian Haynes might start at right guard. If that happens, and assuming Zabel begins right away, every player along the Seahawks' offensive line in Week 1 will still be on their rookie contracts.
When do the Seahawks pick next in the 2025 NFL draft?
Four of Seattle's remaining 2025 choices occur on Day 2. This means 12s will need to stay glued to their TV sets or computer monitors. There will be a lot of action to watch. Unless Schneider and Seattle make some trades to rearrange their picks, the team is slotted in at picks 50, 52, 82, and 92 on Day 2.
You can watch and stream Day 2 across the ESPN family of networks and the NFL Network. ESPN, ABC, and NFL Network will air all seven rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft. You can also listen on ESPN Radio. Day 2 begins at 4 pm PT. There will be seven minutes between picks in the second round and five minutes between selections in round three.
