A lot of changes.

The Seattle Seahawks did not cheap out after parting ways with starting quarterback Geno Smith, as one of the first things they did in NFL free agency was agree to terms with former Minnesota Vikings reclamation project Sam Darnold on a three-year contract worth over $100 million.

The Seahawks are by no means a roster that is set to compete for a deep playoff run, however. The DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett moves have left the Seahawks pathetically thin at wide receiver, and the offensive line is still a mess outside of left tackle Charles Cross.

The Seahawks, now armed with five Top-100 picks, have the ability to quickly reload and build a solid roster if they follow the plan of attack in this 2025 NFL Mock Draft.

Seattle Seahawks 3-round NFL Mock Draft after signing Sam Darnold

Round 1, Pick 18: Matthew Golden, WR, Texas

Golden's game is all about speed and sharp route-running, as the former Longhorn proved when his blazing 40-yard dash time cemented him as a first-round pick. The only question left to answer is if Golden will be picked before Ohio State's Emeka Egbuka or Missouri's Luther Burden III when the Draft rolls around.

Golden and new WR1 Jaxon Smith-Njigba could be a perfect fit for a risk-taking quarterback like Darnold, who led the league in deep passing yards last season. Even though he needs to work on his physicality at the line of scrimmage, Golden's playmaking skills will make him a valued member of this roster.

Round 2, Pick 50: Jonah Savaiinaea, IOL, Arizona

Seattle's interior offensive line is one of the worst in the league, so much so that it helped ruin a solid season for one of the game's most accurate quarterbacks in Geno Smith. Savaiinaea and Purdue's Marcus Mbow could both make sense here, but Savaiinaea may have a slightly higher floor.

Savaiinaea is a massive tackle who will likely kick inside to guard, where his athletic limitations can be overruled by his tremendous power and solid run-blocking skills. In the right situation, there's a good chance that Savaiinaea could end up being one of the few Day 2 picks who competes for a Pro Bowl early in his career.

Round 2, Pick 52: Jayden Higgins, WR, Iowa State

Losing Metcalf is going to be tough for the Seattle offense, as his 6-4 frame and downfield speed made him a uniquely talented player that defenses needed to worry about. Higgins's 6-3 body and proven solid straight-line speed make him a player who could replicate Metcalf with a reasonable degree of aplomb.

Higgins may not be the most explosive athlete in the world, but he should be able to win against NFL cornerbacks. At his best, Higgins could end up emerging as WR5, given the gulf in talent between the rest of the WR class and consensus Top four guys.

Round 3, Pick 82: Jared Wilson, OC, Georgia

Wilson may be a bit of a bet on athletic traits, as he has just one season of high-end starting experience to his name. However, Wilson proved to be one of the most athletic offensive linemen at the 2025 NFL Combine, and Seattle has had success with athletic balls of clay in the past.

Wilson's RAS is not the only thing about him that will appeal to Seattle. With light feet and some solid pass protection tape against NFL-level athletes in the SEC, Wilson will be the type of player the Seahawks can lean on for the next few years if he can add some weight.

Round 3, Pick 92: Bradyn Swinson, EDGE, LSU

All of the offensive moving and shaking made some forget that the Seahawks still need some improvements on the defensive side. The pass rush needs one more player to go from good to great, and Swinson might be able to fit the bill after breaking out with the Tigers last year.

Swinson is never going to be a tremendous edge-setting run defender in the pros, but Swinson is an energetic rusher with a solid toolbox of pass rush tools. Swinson should lean behind Boye Mafe as a rookie before starring in his second season.
