Grey Zabel doesn't lie. He says he is going to do something, and he does it. He is so committed to what he promises that once he has finished the task, he might start over and do it again. The new Seattle Seahawks offensive lineman proved this drive after commenting on being taken by the team at pick 18 in the 2025 NFL draft.

Zabel was asked how he was going to celebrate being chosen in the first round, and he admitted that he, his friends, and family were going to drink some cans of Busch Light beer. But how well did he do?

So much so that his brother, Peyton, later tweeted, "Already ran outta Busch Lights at the Zabel household @BuschBeer please help."

New Seahawks offensive lineman Grey Zabel keeps a draft-day promise

Grey explained during an interview on Seattle Sports 710 AM on Friday that Busch did not need to help after all. He and some friends or family members went to a nearby store on Thursday night and bought more. (To be fair, the ABV of Busch Light is 4.1 percent, and for a person who is 6'6" and 312 pounds, the amount of beer that needs to be drunk to become intoxicated is likely a lot.)

But Seahawks fans were entertained by Zabel's celebratory choice. There were several reactions on social media that might not have been sure about the Seahawks decision to take Zabel before, but after he explained he was going to go all-in on Busch Light, fans applauded.

Not sure how many players we can name from North Dakota, but if they are all like Zabel, this tweet makes sense.

Let's hope, and wouldn't that make general manager John Schneider happy and also disprove his long-held theory that guards are overdrafted and overpaid? At least, he would have hit big the first time he ever chose an interior offensive lineman in the first round.

This is the same sentiment that many 12s have on Friday. He might get glammy statistics like a wide receiver would, but the guard could become a long-time fan favorite by overpowering opposing defensive linemen.

Well said. No offense to Busch Light drinkers, but Seattle is an IPA city. Let's hope Zabel can make the transition smoothly.
