There was some good, bad, and ugly.

Play with class, Seattle Seahawks fans, right? That was the mantra of the rival San Francisco 49ers when Bill Walsh was the head coach in the 1980s. Of course, at the time, 12s might not have had as much dislike for the 49ers as fans do now (Seattle was in a different division), but anyone else dominating other than Seattle is never any fun.

The same can be said of wide receiver Tyler Lockett. Instead of returning to Seattle after being released by the Seahawks this offseason, he is signing with the Tennessee Titans. Lockett might not have had any chance to return, as maybe general manager John Schneider was ready to move on. Hopefully, Lockett will do well in Tennessee.

Maybe not all 12s feel that way. If that is their feeling, they have the right to share it, but they shouldn't be overly upset by his move. The Seahawks let him go, and he might not have been able to return if he wanted to. That is not his fault.

He was also an amazingly great person off the field, so fans should always be proud that Lockett was with the team. His value might have diminished on the field, but it never will off of it. He will probably continue to do good deeds in Seattle, but he will also be doing good deeds in Nashville now.

Fans had mixed reactions to Lockett's social media post after joining the Titans. Some were as good-hearted as they should be. Some were trolls being mean behind their keyboards because they are disgruntled human beings. Lockett doesn't deserve that. Let's start with some good ones.

Definitely. Good luck, Lockett. Many wish you to have a great season.

And then some bad ones. (Seriously, Lockett deserves better. If he had chosen to leave the Seahawks on his own, he still deserves respect. The choice was not his.)

Thankfully, overwhelmingly, the reactions were positive for Lockett. They should be. He will be a benefit in Nashville as a person, even if he never catches a pass.
