There usually aren't many positive things to say after a loss, and even less so after one like this one. The Seattle Seahawks had a prime opportunity to bounce back, facing a severely undermanned Denver Broncos team, and they shot themselves in the foot time and time again.

Sloppy blocking, turnovers, suspect play-calling, and a non-existent running game took a toll on the defending Super Bowl champions' chances again. And after six weeks of regular-season ball, it's clear that something must change.

Nevertheless, we've already talked about all the negative stuff, and that will likely continue until this team figures things out. That's why, instead, we'll try to share a positive note by talking about the players who actually stood out for the right reasons, even despite the tough loss.

3 Seattle Seahawks standouts in the tough loss to the Broncos

Nick Emmanwori

Nick Emmanwori is the best defensive weapon in football. He was a Swiss Army knife guy last season, and watching him grow into a legitimate threat as a pass rusher has become a beauty. That was the case again on Thursday night when he obliterated Bo Nix with a sack on third down to give the Seahawks the ball back in crunch time.

Emmanwori finished the game with five tackles, two pressures, one quarterback hit, and one sack. Once again, he lined up at linebacker, safety, and edge. He's the most dynamic defensive back in the league.

Ernest Jones IV

Ernest Jones IV might want to reconsider his words on Sam Darnold from last season, but that won't stop him from giving 110 percent effort in every game. He even put his body on the line by trying to block Will Lutz's game-winning field goal in overtime, though he was obviously called for a penalty. It was worth the try, though.

Jones is the heart and soul of the Seahawks' defensive line, and he recorded a sack for his third game in a row. He finished the game with a team-leading nine tackles, including one for a loss, as well as two pressures and six run stops.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba

We're running out of superlatives to talk about this guy. He's been a one-man show on offense through the first six games of the regular season, and he continues to amaze even the most optimistic fan every single time he sets foot on the gridiron.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba had another video game-like performance, hauling in 12 receptions on 16 targets for an absurd 134 yards. He delivered every single time the Seahawks needed a big play to move the chains, and there's no one more elusive in the open field right now. Even with double teams, he's doing all of the heavy lifting, and the Seahawks must find him a sidekick.
