The Seattle Seahawks trailed by four in the early going against the Arizona Cardinals until Ernest Jones IV made the team's first big play of the game. Jaxon Smith-Njigba made it pay off with Seattle's first touchdown of the game just six seconds later. Coby Bryant made things even worse for the Cards less than a minute later.

The Cardinals drove the length of the field with the opening kickoff. That didn't follow the script of the Week 12 shutdown of the Cards offense. The Hawks followed up with their own drive, although they did have to settle for a 20-yard field goal by Jason Myers. Arizona stepped back on the field, but they might as well not have wasted their time.

Devon Witherspoon tackled James Connor to hold him to one yard on first and 10. The Cards were flagged for holding on second down, setting up second and 19 at their own 21-yard line. The Hawks had already been getting decent pressure on Arizona's Kyler Murray. The next play is when the fun truly began for the Hawks and the 12s.

Murray dropped back to pass, looking for Marvin Harrison Jr. over the middle. Murray was pressured by Derick Hall and was forced to throw just a bit early. He was off target, and Ernest Jones IV stepped in front of the pass for the easy interception. Jones ran the ball back from the Arizona 31 down to the 19.

From there, the Seahawks' hottest receiver took over. On first down, Geno Smith - already six of seven on the day - found Jaxon Smith-Njigba in stride on the right side of the end zone. The Hawks went from down by four to a three-point lead in just six seconds. Things were about to go from bad to worse for Arizona. Much, much worse.

The Cardinals started their next drive at their own 30. Again, Connor was held to a one-yard gain. On second down, Murray was pressured again. This time, he threw an even worse pass. Apparently, he was trying to get the ball to Zay Jones down the left sideline. Unfortunately for the Cards, the pass was miserably lat, and Coby Bryant stepped in front of Jones for an easy pick.

Five plays later, Zach Charbonnet took the ball into the end zone on a one-yard scoring run. The Seahawks took the ball away from the Cardinals just 41 seconds after they took the lead. It took Seattle all of 2:28 to score their second touchdown of the day and put Arizona on their heels.

So, in the span of three minutes and fifteen seconds, the Seahawks turned a 7-3 deficit into a 17-7 lead. Arizona would add a field goal, but Seattle would follow with their third touchdown of the game. I'm not about to say the Cards gave up by any means, but they were clearly reeling.

Coming into this game without Kenneth Walker III, the expectation was that this game would be very tough sledding for the Seahawks' defense. With the help of some tremendous defensive plays and surprisingly good runs from Zach Charbonnet, the Seahawks shocked the Cardinals again and again on their way to the win.

And, sure...Seattle's offense did not do as much as it should in the second half, but a win is a win. Now, Seattle is 8-5 with a two-game lead over the Cardinals. The battle might be between Seattle and the Los Angeles Rams for the NFC West crown and a playoff spot.
