The Seattle Seahawks are 3-1 and hosting the 4-0 San Francisco 49ers in Week 5. Kickoff is set for 1:25 pm PT on Sunday. It is still early in the season, but the game is a battle for the top spot in the NFC West.

The good news going into the game for Seattle was that defensive lineman Leonard Williams would be able to play. He hurt his ankle in Week 4 and was limited in practice, but he will start against the challenging 49ers.

The weather is expected to be fantastic with no rain. That should mean that, without any conditions changing the outcome of the game, Seattle should be able to get the victory at home. Let's just hope no one gets injured during the matchup and Seattle cuts down on its penalties.

How to watch the Seattle Seahawks vs. the San Francisco 49ers in Week 5

FOX will carry the game (that's FOX 13 in the Seattle area), and the broadcast crew will consist of Kevin Burkhardt on play-by-play, Tom Brady providing the analysis, and Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi doing their work from the sidelines.

You can stream the game on NFL+ locally or YouTubeTV's NFL Sunday Ticket if you have a subscription. You can also stream on the Seahawks mobile app and Seahawks.com, but you'd need to live in the Seattle area to do so.

If you want to listen to the game instead of watching (or try to do both), you can tune into Seattle Sports 710 AM or KIRO Newsradio 97.3 and the Seahawks mobile app. Those would all be local, but with an NFL+ subscription, you can listen to live games. The radio broadcast will feature Steve Raible doing play-by-play, Dave Wyman doing the analysis, and Jen Mueller on the sidelines.

Seahawks vs. 49ers injury updates in Week 5

Seattle will still be rather thin at running back, as Zach Charbonnet isn't quite ready to return from the knee injury he suffered in last season's playoffs, and Jadarian Price is on injured reserve with a chest injury. The team did sign rookie Robert Henry Jr. last week, and he could get reps. Emanuel Wilson will likely carry most of the load, as he did in Week 4.

Rookie cornerback Julian Neal is out with a hamstring issue. Linebacker Chazz Surratt is out with a calf injury. Running back George Holani (ribs and knee) and wide receiver Irv Charles (knee) are questionable.

For the 49ers, they have four players ruled out. The list includes edge rusher Nick Bosa (knee, calf), fullback Kyle Juszczyk (knee), safety Marques Sigle (ankle), and defensive tackle James Thompson Jr. (ankle). Otherwise, San Fran has lots of players listed as questionable or iffy.

Storylines to watch for Seahawks in Week 5

The 49ers are going through another season with a heavily injured roster, and yet another season of success. That goes to show how well the team is structured from the front office down. Poorly run teams wouldn't have been able to survive the number of injuries the way San Fran has.

Still, Seattle throttled San Fran in the last two meetings of last season, and should still have the better roster. Will this game probably be closer than the playoff game last year when Seattle won 41-6? Absolutely, but a loss would be the 49ers' first of the season. A Seattle loss would put Mike Macdonald's team two games behind San Francisco after five weeks.

One interesting aspect is that this will be new Seattle offensive coordinator Brian Fleury's first game against his former team. Will that cause him to change how he calls plays? Maybe.

What might happen between the Seahawks and the 49ers

The 49ers have played at an elite level, and quarterback Brock Purdy hasn't been sacked yet. Some of San Francisco's success could be due to their schedule so far. The 49ers have played the awful Miami Dolphins, an underperforming Denver Broncos, the sleepy Los Angeles Rams in Australia, and the Arizona Cardinals.

No sacks is no sacks, though, and the Seattle Seahawks are going to have to get pressure. Since Leonard Williams is healthy and ready to play, that should happen. As long as Seattle's Sam Darnold doesn't turn the ball over much, the Seahawks should get a victory at Lumen Field in a low-scoring contest, 19-16.
