No drama exists about who the Seattle Seahawks will be playing in 2026; only when they will be playing those teams. The NFL rotates one division playing another every few years, as well as teams playing the intra-division rivals twice a season. Seattle has known who they will play since the last day of last season's regular season.

The fun part is watching how the schedule unfolds. While the official release is on Thursday, May 14, at 5 pm PT, rumors and leaks will trickle in ahead of Thursday. Will there be international games for the Seahawks, for instance? Maybe.

Below you will find all the rumors and leaks from reputable sources about the Seahawks' 2026 schedule. The rumors aren't confirmed, but could be true. The leaks come from the team or verified NFL insiders such as Adam Schefter, so 12s can count on the schedule adjustment to be true.

So, feel free to bookmark this page and check back here for all the updates as they pop up this week.

Seattle Seahawks 2026 schedule rumors

Rematch of the Super Bowl in Week 1?

According to The Case podcast's Kirk Minihane, and per his "sources," the Seahawks will host the Patriots in Week 1 at Lumen Field on Wednesday, September 9. The move seems to favor New England more than Seattle because the Pats will have lots of drama surrounding them.

That drama, such as head coach Mike Vrabel's off-field situation with reporter Dianna Russini, and the potential addition of trading for wide receiver AJ Brown, would be things that the national media love to discuss. That means they won't be discussing the Super Bowl champions.

Update: According to Jordan Schultz, formerly on FOX and now just wherever, Seattle will indeed host the Patriots in Week 1. Bummer.)

According to Dave "Softy" Mahler of KJR in Seattle, the Seahawks could be facing the Los Angeles Rams on Christmas Day. This has not yet been confirmed, however.

NFL Nerd is tweeting that the Seahawks will take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday, December 19, at 5 pm PT on FOX. Again, this wasn't confirmed by an NFL insider ahead of the official schedule release, so maybe the social media handle is correct.

According to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team, the Seahawks will host the New York Giants in Week 14. This is based on a tweet from someone who runs a Giants podcast, though.

Hawkblogger's Brian Nemhauser has been trying to keep track of rumors and feels he understands who Seattle will be playing in several weeks. You can see those below (or read his tweet).

Seattle Seahawks 2026 schedule leaks

No 49ers or Rams in Week 1

While there have been no schedule leaks by confirmed sources a couple of days before the official schedule release (that could change quickly, of course), Seattle did know it wouldn't be playing NFC West rivals, the San Francisco 49ers or Los Angeles Rams.

Those two teams will play one another in Week 1 in Australia on Thursday, September 10.

Of course, with the Schultz report above, we can assume that Seattle and New England will be playing one another Week 1.

Jordan Schultz also reported that the Seahawks will host the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7 at Lumen Field. Who doesn't need a Sam Darnold versus Patrick Mahomes matchup?
