Seattle Seahawks among the biggest fans of Aaron Rodgers in Week 10

Love him or hate him, Aaron Rodgers is forcing Seattle to root for him in Week 10.

Aaron Rodgers is not running for President of the United States. At least, not yet. People can have whatever views they have of the anti-vax New York Jets quarterback. The political part is not pointed out as any kind of diatribe against Rodgers. He makes a point of saying how he feels about such things. As he relates to the Seattle Seahawks, he does not normally come into view.

In Week 10 of the 2024 NFL season, though, the Jets quarterback will. Seattle has the week off, of course. The rest of the NFC West does not. Seattle sits a game back of the first-place Arizona Cardinals even though the Seahawks are currently in last place in the division. It's been a weird year.

Still, Seattle needs help getting back into the NFC West race as it is currently on a downward trend of losing five of six games. As misery loves company, 12s would probably enjoy it if the other division teams went on a slide of their own. This is where Aaron Rodgers comes in. The Jets play the Cardinals in Week 10.

Seahawks could use a little help from Aaron Rodgers in Week 10

Rodgers, the 41-year-old New York quarterback who is perceived as better than he currently is because of his past success, has not thrown for 300 yards in a game since December 12, 2021. That is not a joke. He can still be relatively efficient, though, and does not turn the ball over too much. To help Seattle and the Jets, Rodgers simply needs to maintain his current play.

The Jets' defense is good enough to beat a decent Cardinals offense. New York probably won't score a lot, but as long as they do not beat themselves, New York should get the victory on the road. This would drop the Cardinals to 5-5, just a half-game ahead of Seattle. The Seahawks and Cardinals still have to play each other twice during the regular season, too.

As for the rest of the division, the 4-4 San Francisco 49ers have to travel to play a mediocre Tampa Bay Buccaneers team. It's tough to win on the road, though. Maybe Baker Mayfield and the Bucs can pull off the slight upset.

The Los Angeles Rams don't play until Monday, but they do have to beat a Miami Dolphins team that has quarterback Tua Tagovailoa back. Maybe Miami can outscore LA. That's the hope.

There is a real chance that after Week 10, Seattle will still be 4-5, but the Cardinals are 5-5, while the 49ers and Rams are also 4-5. As bad as things have recently been for the Seahawks, they might still have a chance to win the division. They just need a little help from Aaron Rodgers on Sunday.
