The Seattle Seahawks winning the Super Bowl in the 2025 season will mean things for next year, too. For one, the team will open the NFL regular season by hosting a game at Lumen Field on primetime on Wednesday, September 9. This is likely just one of many primetime games.

In fact, Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox speculates that the team could have as many as six primetime games. One can assume at least one of the games against the Los Angeles Rams will be, and the same goes for the Super Bowl rematch with the New England Patriots. Week 1 could be against the Chicago Bears.

Knox writes in an article predicting the teams that could get the most primetime games, "Seattle may be looking to replace veterans like Kenneth Walker III, Coby Bryant, and Riq Woolen with rookies like Jadarian Price, Bud Clark, and Julian Neal. The turnover could end up being just as big a part of the Seahawks' 2026 story as their elite defense or Darnold's ongoing redemption arc."

Bleacher Report guesses that the Seattle Seahawks will have six primetime games in 2026

The Seahawks have a lot going for them, of course. They are the defending champions, sure, but the roster is full of players who have a lot of personality. That includes wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, cornerback Devon Witherspoon, and fellow defensive back Nick Emmanwori.

Head coach Mike Macdonald's Q rating has certainly increased quite a bit, too. While players are normally the main draw to get people watching games on television and streaming, Macdonald is young enough and effervescent enough to bring in some eyes, too.

Knox hit on another key reason for the Seahawks potentially getting many of the most featured games throughout the season: Jadarian Price. Having a rookie who plays a skill position and could have a lot of production is interesting to fans beyond just the home fanbase.

What Seattle Seahawks fans don't yet know is whether the team will play on a holiday or internationally. The latter is unlikely, but those games would at least give the NFL a chance to put its defending champion in front of national viewers that aren't have to stay up late on the East Coast to see them.

If Bleacher Report's Knox is correct, though, the Seahawks will be one-upped by the Los Angeles Rams, who open their season in Australia against the San Francisco 49ers. Knox guesses LA will have seven primetime games overall, including the one in Week 1, which would be the most in the NFL in 2026.
