The Seattle Seahawks will battle the Tennessee Titans in their second preseason game of the year on Sunday. With little time left before roster cuts on August 31st, players need to take advantage of the opportunity to make an impression on the front office and the coaching staff.

These four notable Seahawks are fighting to stay on the roster: corner Andre Fuller, defensive lineman Uso Seumalo, safety Rodney Thomas, and wide receiver Montorie Foster Jr. All have uphill battles, but still have a chance to earn their spot.

Here is a look at each of their stories, what they have done so far in preseason, and who they're competing with for positions.

These Seattle Seahawks have a great chance in preseason Week 2 to prove they belong on the team

Seahawks corner Andre Fuller has a tough path

Fuller played college ball at the University of Toledo, where he amassed 78 tackles, 16 passes defensed, an interception, and a sack in three years for the Rockets. Seattle selected him with the 236th pick in the seventh round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Fuller made three tackles in his first preseason game as a Seahawk.

He has a tough path to make the active roster, competing with several veterans at corner. To make the squad, Fuller will have to beat out veterans Shemar Jean-Charles and Noah Igbinoghene, whom the Seahawks acquired in the offseason.

Feel good story Uso Seumalo is trying make it on the Seahawks roster

Seumalo was featured in episode three of HBO's Hard Knocks series. He was an undrafted free agent signing and has been battling with the defensive linemen for a spot on the roster. Seumalo played at Kansas State University, finishing with 57 tackles in his four-year career as a Wildcat.

Seumalo had two tackles, including one that was a solo tackle, in Week 1 of preseason against the Cowboys. He's competing with Brandon Pili, Deven Eastern, and Mike Morris for backup slots at defensive tackle and faces tough odds to make the active roster. Even if he is cut, he could be a candidate to join the practice squad if he clears waivers.

Montorie Foster Jr. needs to seize the moment to join the wide receiver room

Another player featured on HBO's Hard Knocks this past week was Foster Jr. The former Michigan State product was picked up off waivers last summer and added to the Seahawks' practice squad. Before coming to Seattle, Foster Jr. tallied 1,426 receiving yards and eight touchdown catches while playing for the Spartans in college.

In his first preseason game, he had five catches for 36 yards and a touchdown catch in the Seahawks' 17-7 loss to the Cowboys. The Seahawks are hoping for continued productivity from Foster Jr. this week. He is competing with Emmanuel Henderson Jr., Cody White, and Ricky White for the last wide receiver positions.

Veteran safety Rodney Thomas is fighting to stay on an NFL roster with the Seahawks

Thomas has been in the NFL for four years with the Indianapolis Colts after being selected with the 239th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. During his time in Indy, the former Colts safety totaled 114 tackles, 10 passes defensed, and six interceptions.

Thomas is looking to continue to build off a strong Week 1 performance in which he had five tackles, including one solo tackle. He is battling with AJ Finley and D'Anthony Bell for the final safety spots on the Seahawks' roster.
