The Seattle Seahawks had a great all-around performance in Week 3 as they dominated the New Orleans Saints en route to a 44-13 victory. While some NFL pundits are not convinced that their early-season play will continue throughout the season, Seattle has looked elite on both sides of the ball.
They are averaging 29.3 points per game, which ranks fifth in the NFL, while allowing just 15.7 ppg, which ranks second. In fact, the Seahawks are the only team in the league that ranks in the top five in both scoring offense and scoring defense.
One of the biggest stories of their Week 3 win was the breakout of Tory Horton, who found the endzone both on offense and special teams. Offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak compared the fifth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft to a four-time All-Pro wide receiver, whom he also coached as a rookie.

Horton has shown that he has a knack for the endzone early in his career. After finishing his NFL debut without a reception, he has recorded 64 receiving yards and two touchdowns on five receptions over the past two weeks. He has also returned six punts for 156 yards, including a 95-yard return for a touchdown.
Speaking with the media on Tuesday, Kubiak was asked if he's worked with a rookie who reminds him of Horton:
"Yeah. I'm not going to say his name. But he's had a really solid start to the season. Proud of Tory, not surprised, just the kind of kid that he is, the way that his parents raised him. He just has a great attitude. He's all about work. He studies hard. And he has some great role models in that room. It's a long season to go and no need for Tory to get the big head, and he knows that. That's why he's here. He's just got a special character trait to him in that regard, so just going to keep pushing forward... Justin Jefferson was in Minnesota. He was a really good rookie, and that's rare air, so he's got a long way to go to get there."
Horton has a long way to go to be mentioned in the same breath as Jefferson. The Minnesota Vikings star finished his rookie season with 1,400 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 88 receptions and earned second-team All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors.
Kubiak, who served as the Vikings quarterback coach during Jefferson's rookie season and offensive coordinator the following year, believes that the Seahawks' rookie has the traits to become a similar player. Horton's performance and knack for the endzone - combined with the offensive coordinator's strong praise - should lead to an increased role as the season progresses.
