Former Notre Dame running back Jadarian Price is now a new member of the Seattle Seahawks, and with that will come a steady flow of interviews. 12s want to know more about the person that Price is, and not just the player. The good part? The person is pretty impressive, too.
In an interview on the Brock and Salk show on Seattle Sports 710 AM, Price was asked the regular questions, such as how he felt to be taken in the first round. But it was the subtext of what the running back revealed that was telling.
When going through the draft process, Price said when speaking with prospective teams, "I love that I got to talk an hour of ball every day." As 12s all know, as long as general manager John Schneider has been with the team (since 2010), the players that Seattle has chosen aren't just showing up to get paid; they also love the sport. Clearly, Price does.

He also proved that he doesn't give up easily when challenged. He will be tested in the NFL, of course, and he likely won't shy away from those situations.
For instance, when given the chance to leave Notre Dame and take a large amount of NIL money elsewhere (Price mentioned the University of North Carolina as one potential destination), the running back decided to stay with the Fighting Irish even though he knew he would be RB2 behind Jeremiyah Love. Love was drafted No. 3 by the Arizona Cardinals.
Price said he stayed because "Notre Dame is the best decision of my life. I wanted to finish my degree. I wanted to convince myself that I was just as good as the best player in college football (Jeremiyah Love)."
What matters most to Seattle Seahawks fans, as far as the running back's on-field performance, is whether he will be as productive as a pro as Love. The two will certainly see a lot of one another as the two NFC West rivals will play one another at least twice a season.
And if Price is tasked with either running through a defensive player trying to stop him from scoring or trying to go around the player? Price had an easy answer: There is "nothing more poetic about the game of football than going through somebody."
Obviously, the Seahawks just need him to stay healthy and available for future games if Jadarian Price chooses to try to run straight through people too much, but the power of watching him be successful at that would be incredible. He will probably get many chances. If he isn't Seattle's RB1 to start his rookie season, he likely will be soon after. Price won't let anyone stop him.
