The Seattle Seahawks are, until further notice, the team to beat in the NFC West. However, as dominant as they were against most teams, the Los Angeles Rams nearly got the best of them in all three matchups.
That's why watching general manager Les Snead shoot himself in the foot lately in the offseason has been such a treat. They got off to a strong start by trading for Trent McDuffie, but their decisions since have been rather questionable.
Considering that, the Seahawks should be rooting for Jacob Infante's latest prediction to be true. In a recent column, the PFSN draft expert chose the Rams as one potential landing spot for former star WR Tyreek Hill.
Tyreek Hill would only add more drama to the Los Angeles Rams
"If they want to really push towards another Super Bowl win, a one-year rental like Hill would make a lot of sense. Even at his age, pairing him with Nacua and Adams would form arguably the most dangerous wide receiver trio in the NFL," wrote Infante.
Years ago, that would've been a catastrophe for the NFC West. Now, in 2026, all three other teams should be chipping in to fly him to Los Angeles. He's no longer the player he once was; he's going to be overpriced and -- more importantly -- he comes with plenty of baggage.
Hill has been a distraction for his teams for years now. He's not the one to mince his words about anything, and his incendiary post-game comments don't always sit well in the locker room. He's also quite active on social media, but not in the best way, not to mention his never-ending string of distractions off the field.
The Rams are currently dealing with a wide receiver crisis. Puka Nacua has done everything on the field to get a contract extension, but he had to check himself into rehab earlier in the offseason for his erratic behavior off the gridiron. The last thing they need is another big-name wideout who'll feed tabloids every week.
Sean McVay's team seemed to be trending in the right direction. Then, taking Ty Simpson so early in the first round might've fractured the head coach's close relationship with Matthew Stafford, giving the Seahawks yet another reason to celebrate after their Super Bowl run.
Hill has a projected market value of $15.1 million. He's coming off a major knee injury, and watching all teams ignore him in free agency should speak volumes. But if the Rams want to add a lit match to the fuel drum they might have in the locker room, by all means, they should do it. There aren't many chances he'll be the ankle-breaking, big-play specialist he was three years ago.
