Seahawks fans would cringe if NFC West rival's pick in recent mock draft comes true

This would be a problem.

The Seattle Seahawks lost a grand total of three games last season, two of which were against divisional rivals. They met with the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams three times, and got the best of both twice, including in the playoffs.

However, while Mike Macdonald's team dominated the Niners, they had a much tougher time going against Sean McVay's troops. The three games were decided by a total of two, one, and four points, respectively.

That's why watching the Rams get off to the races in free agency might be a major concern for general manager John Schneider. That can only get worse if they fulfill Garrett Podell's latest prediction. In his first mock draft after the first wave of free agency, he has the Rams taking Jordyn Tyson.

Jordyn Tyson going to the Rams could be a disaster for the Seattle Seahawks

In this scenario, the Rams will trade up to No. 13 to get the playmaking wide receiver out of Arizona State. He might be the most talented pass catcher in the class, and he'd only slip that far because of his glaring injury concerns.

"His film involves him blowing by people to turn decent grabs into big plays after the catch, and Davante Adams can help train Tyson into being his long-term successor," Podell wrote.

The Rams already have an elite one-two punch in the passing game. Puka Nacua has blossomed into a superstar, and Davante Adams still has one of the most reliable pairs of hands in the game, especially in contested catches and the end zone. The last thing the NFC West needs is Matthew Stafford getting a 6-foot-2, 203-pound playmaking physical specimen to round things up.

The Rams have never hesitated to make aggressive moves. They'll host Super Bowl LXI, and after fixing their secondary with Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson, they can focus on giving Stafford another weapon.

NBC Sports reported that the Rams were no longer interested in trading for A.J. Brown. However, the sole fact that they inquired about the Philadelphia Eagles' playmaker speaks volumes about their interest in adding another pass-catching threat to their already stacked offense.

Tyson is an explosive playmaker. He dropped just one pass on 97 targets, forced six missed tackles, logged 263 yards after the catch, and 2.37 yards per route run, according to Pro Football Focus (subscription required).

Stafford just threw for 457 yards and three touchdowns in the NFC Championship Game. He can clearly hurt Aden Durde's defense, and he has an offensive mastermind pulling the strings of the offense for him. Adding Tyson to the mix is just overkill.

Of course, these are just projections, and even if the Rams take him, he has a long history of major injuries and may not live up to the hype. That said, this is exactly the type of bold move the Rams have built their roster with, and this mock draft might keep Seahawks fans at night for a while.
