The Seattle Seahawks boast arguably the best defense in the NFL. Make no mistake about it, though; they also have a top-flight offense, one that fantasy football managers are surely curious about heading into 2026.

Of course, star wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba will be one of the first names off the board in drafts. He's coming off a historic campaign that culminated in Offensive Player of the Year honors and, most importantly, a Super Bowl LX victory for the Seahawks. His role as the engine of a dynamic championship-winning attack entrenches him as a hot commodity worthy of a premium price tag.

There's a lot of uncertainty beyond Smith-Njigba, however. The pass-catching hierarchy behind him bears watching, especially if Tory Horton can pick up where he left off as a rookie before suffering a shin injury. Seattle's ambiguous backfield situation is complicated after Zach Charbonnet's ACL tear this past January and Kenneth Walker III's free-agency departure to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Many anticipate first-round rookie running back Jadarian Price instantly stepping in and assuming a large workload. Others envision more of a committee approach. His projected volume (or lack thereof) is and will continue to be one of the more hotly debated topics of the offseason.

Price's path to the starting job isn't as clear as it appears. He's competing with veterans like George Holani, who's become a coaching staff favorite since joining the club as an undrafted free agent in 2024. Free-agent addition Emanuel Wilson will also factor into the equation — and Charbonnet's eventual return only adds to the chaos.

Training camp and preseason figures to give us a much better idea of what to expect from Seattle's non-JSN playmakers. The intel will begin flowing once the league's summer break ends, so stay tuned and consider this an information hub.

Note: This story will be updated regularly throughout the Seattle Seahawks' training camp and preseason.

Latest fantasy football updates for the Seahawks: News, injuries and position battles

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler calls AJ Barner "ascending player" -- 8/11

Fowler states that Barner being healthy this offseason and his versatility in the offense are things that will help him stand out. Brian Fleury's tight-end-friendly offense is another reason to buy stock in Barner and Arroyo.

Seahawks will feature multiple running backs each week -- 8/11

Head coach Mike McDonald revealed that the team will use "two, possibly three guys in a game plan," per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. It'll be interesting to see how the snaps break down among Price, George Holani, and eventually Zach Charbonnet when he returns to the field.

Elijah Arroyo continues to make flashes in passing game -- 8/9

Nemhauser reported that Arroyo has been able to separate and finish catches in the red zone. His most impressive catch of the day came on a throw from Darnold placed near the sideline. Arroyo ran behind Jordan Love and plucked it out of the air.

Hawk Blogger's Brian Nemhauser says Jadarian Price has been 'star' of camp -- 8/7

"I can tell you [Price's] going to be a very good receiver," Nemhauser stated during an appearance on the NFL Spotlight with Ari Meirov podcast. "The pass protection looks like a real work in progress."

It's hard not to feel better about Price's immediate outlook, particularly if incumbent starter Zach Charbonnet's absence spills into the season. The former becomes even more appealing if there's untapped pass-catching upside, as Nemhauser highlighted.

Zach Charbonnet to come of PUP before the season? -- 8/7

There's at least "a chance" that Charbonnet gets activated before Week 1, per Hawks Blogger's Brian Nemhauser. That would suggest a return to the lineup sooner rather than later.

Charbonnet's impending comeback bears monitoring. His status complicates matters for first-round rookie tailback Jadarian Price, who's made a strong impression in camp thus far.

Rashid Shaheed's connection with Sam Darnold continues to grow -- 8/3

Shaheed's speed is very evident, as he ran a post roure past Michael Dansby and Bud Clark in coverage to score for about 50 yards. Darnold hit Shaheed perfectly in stride according to Gregg Bell, as the connection between these two develops.

Tory Horton is making strides in practice after offseason surgery -- 8/2

Horton had a metal rod placed into his lower leg to heal his tibia. The practice on 8/2 was his fourth straight session and the most productive he's been. Horton scored twice on back-to-back passes in 11-on-11s. He soared up to catch a ball from Drew Lock in the end zone before snagging a pass from Sam Darnold after sprinting down the seam on the left side, per Gregg Bell of the Tacoma News Tribune.

Elijah Arroyo's start to training camp continues to be positive -- 8/2

Arroyo missed six games towards the end of last season, so getting him back on the field is positive. Not only is he back on the gridiron but he's had a nice start to camp. During this practice, Arroyo reeled in two touchdowns in one-on-ones, with both coming against safety Rodney Thomas II. This was Arroyo's third straight practice being a "standout in the passing game," per Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.

Jadarian Price temporarily usurps George Holani -- 7/30

It was Price, not Holani, who took the field for the opening play of Seattle's first padded full-team scrimmage, per the Tacoma News Tribune's Gregg Bell.

The rook "following" Holani this spring has been in preparation to be the "starting running back for the defending Super Bowl champions" come Week 1, Bell wrote. Frankly, it could be wheels up from here for Price, who also "continued his daily regimen of catching passes."

Jadarian Price keeps flashing as a pass-catcher -- 7/28

A well-placed ball from 2025 third-round quarterback Jalen Milroe found Price streaking down the sideline for a 35-40-yard touchdown (h/t Hawk Blogger's Brian Nemhauser).

Gregg Bell of the Tacoma News Tribune chimes in on George Holani -- 7/26

Holani has been the first man in "each of" senior offensive assistant/running backs coach Thomas Hammock's drills. Price has alternated first-team reps thus far.

Hawk Blogger's Brian Nemhauser notices Tory Horton slowly ramping up -- 7/26

While Horton still didn't participate in team drills on Day 2, he fielded punts and ran routes in the individual portion of practice. His speed was on display when running next to fellow Seahawks wideout Rashid Shaheed.

Seahawks senior reporter John Boyle provides early insight on Seattle's RBs -- 7/25

It didn't take long for Price to assert himself with some "impressive moments" on his first day of camp. He had a "nice catch and run down the sideline and a run that got one of the biggest reactions of the day from fans."

For what it's worth, Wilson responded to Price by "breaking loose for a long run," and Holani made "several nice run[s]."

Zach Charbonnet unsurprisingly lands on PUP list -- 7/22

As expected, Charbonnet was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list ahead of camp. He got hurt this past January in the Seahawks' Divisional Round playoff win over the San Francisco 49ers.

Sleepers, dynasty names and under-the-radar Seahawks players to know

Both George Holani and Emanuel Wilson are certainly worthy of fliers and basically free in drafts (for now). That's until we get a clearer picture of the Seahawks' running back room, at least.

Keep an eye on Milroe. He's still a raw prospect, yet the dual-threat upside is tantalizing if the arm talent and athleticism can be harnessed. There are bones to be a legitimate QB1 if the Seahawks are ever forced to turn to him instead of starter Sam Darnold.
