The great part of the Super Bowl is that the game gives the teams two weeks in which to get their healthiest. The Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots might be missing some players who would be contributors, but have long-term injuries. Other players with less dire injuries should be able to go.
Seattle isn't, for instance, going to have explosive rookie wide receiver Tory Horton, as he hasn't been available for weeks with a knee injury. He will be counted to contribute in future years, and he will likely regret not being healthy in the Super Bowl in his first year, but the Seahawks cannot count on him now.
Here is the positive part. Horton's fellow rookie, defensive back Nick Emmanwori, who hurt his ankle in practice in the days ahead of the title game, will be able to play against the Patriots. If Emmanwori was just another cog in the Seattle defensive machine, that would be one thing. He isn't.
Final injury report for the Seattle Seahawks against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX
The DB was taken early in the second round of the 2025 NFL draft for a reason. Plus, let's be clear: He should have been a first-round pick, based on his physicality, but since he was a safety in college, many teams needed him to be a specific fit. Not Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald.
He understood he could fit the rookie anywhere into his scheme, which would augment his design. Where Nick Emmanwori lines up is a mystery to opponents, but what is sure is that he will be disruptive no matter where he ends up pre-snap. The Patriots will learn this in Super Bowl LX.
That is as long as Emmanwori isn't really playing at 60 percent instead of 90. Otherwise, his effectiveness will be limited, as well as the defense overall. We won't know the reality until the game begins.
The Seattle Seahawks only listed Robbie Ouzts as questionable with a neck injury. No other Seattle player has a designation. In other words, Nick Emmanwori is, indeed, ready to go against the Patriots in Super Bowl 60.
The New England Patriots listed defensive lineman Joshua Farmer, edge rusher Harold Landry, and linebacker Robert Spillane as questionable. Landry is likely the most important. All are expected to play, though.
