The Seattle Seahawks were the best team in the National Football League this season, and that reign might not be ending soon. However, all good things can be improved, and this team isn't the exception to that rule.

Regardless of the trip to the Super Bowl, head coach Mike Macdonald's team can still get better. And with the Seahawks having the fourth-most available cap space in the league in 2026, there will be some new faces in town.

With that in mind, Mason Cameron of Pro Football Focus (subscription required) believes they'll use some of that cash to bolster their offensive line. In his latest column, he predicted they would make a run at Baltimore Ravens center Tyler Linderbaum.

The Seattle Seahawks should pursue Tyler Linderbaum in free agency

"Seattle, a team with ample cap space, will aim to take more swings at improving the interior of its offensive line this offseason. Given the Seahawks‘ dedication to establishing a presence in the running game, posting the second-highest run play percentage (47.0%) in the NFL – behind only the Ravens – adding a road grading center in Linderbaum is the perfect fit," Cameron wrote.

The Ravens didn't pick up Linderbaum's fifth-year option because it would've made him the highest-paid center in the league by nearly $5 million. They would still love to keep him around, but since they can't franchise-tag him, they will have to compete with everybody else.

According to Spotrac, the 2022 first-round pick is projected to make $17.7 million per year over four years. The Seahawks can afford that $70.9 million contract, all while giving him a chance to play for a championship.

He's the highest-ranked offensive lineman in free agency this season, according to PFF grades. His 80.2 grade ranked 5th among 40 eligible centers, and while the Seahawks already have a solid anchor in the middle of the offensive line in Jalen Sundell, he's also going to be a free agent at the end of the season. Also, as good as Sundell was, his PFF grade (64.6) ranked much lower at 19th.

Linderbaum is an elite run-blocker, posting the fourth-highest run-block grade among centers (83.7) and opening up running lanes for Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson. The Seahawks still don't know whether Kenneth Walker III will be back next season, but having Linderbaum holding down the fort will certainly make life easier for whoever is in the backfield.
