The Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals might be battling for first place in the NFC West in Week 12. The division is the definition of mediocrity through Week 11 with three teams at 5-5, Seattle among them, and the Cardinals at 6-4. A win by Seattle over Arizona would have both teams at 6-5, but the Seahawks would have the head-to-head advantage and be in first place.

Of course, Seattle needs the Los Angeles Rams to lose as well, and the Rams play the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday so there is a good chance for a Los Angeles loss. Still, there is a lot of the season left to figure out what will happen in the NFC West. A Seahawks victory in Week 12, though, could go a long way toward determining how teams finish.

The question is if Seattle will be missing any key players for the game. On the final injury report, Seattle only listed Brady Russell as out. Tight end Noah Fant was listed as questionable with a groin injury and he was expected to be a game-time decision. He won't play, though. In other words, rookie AJ Barner might need to have another solid game to help lead Seattle to a win.

According to FanDuel, Seattle is favored, but just barely. The betting site has the Seahawks favored by 1.5 points. Once upon a time, a team used to get three points just for playing at home, which Seattle is doing in Week 12, and if that were to still hold true, then that would imply that the Cardinals are really the ones many expect to win. The over/under is 47.5 which seems a bit high as both defenses have played well of late.
