Two division-leading teams play each other at Lumen Field in Week 8 when the Seattle Seahawks will host the Buffalo Bills. Both teams have good quarterbacks, though more people would argue that Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen is better. He is likely one of the top-four quarterbacks in the NFL.

Both teams struggle to stop the run. Seattle arguably has the better running back room, though. This might mean that Kenneth Walker III has to have a huge game for Seattle to win. He is capable of doing so, but he also needs to get a bit of help from his friends up front. Seattle's offensive line likely needs to have its best game of the season against Buffalo.

Seattle has two games left before their bye week. After Buffalo, the Seahawks play the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams were great on Thursday Night Football against the Minnesota Vikings and are now back to 3-4. In other words, Seattle has two extremely difficult matchups and has to play well before the bye week to avoid being 4-5 at the bye week.

Seahawks and Bills inactives for Week 8 game

Seattle Seahawks inactive players for Week 8

  • Cornerback Tre Brown
  • Defensive End Mike Morris
  • Defensive End Myles Adams
  • Guard Satoa Laumea
  • Linebacker Trevis Gibson
  • Noe Tackle Cameron Young
  • Wide Receiver DK Metcalf

Seattle knew right tackle Abraham Lucas (knee) was going to miss the game, but no one else was officially ruled out. Wide receiver DK Metcalf (knee) was the biggest concern and unfortunately will miss the game, only the second of his career.

Buffalo Bills inactive players for Week 8

  • Defensive lineman Zion Logue
  • Linebacker Terrel Bernard
  • Linebacker Edefuan Ulofoshio
  • Offensive Lineman Will Clapp
  • Safety Mike Edwards
  • Wide Receiver Curtis Samuel

The Bills had ruled three players out before the game so football fans knew they would be inactive against Seattle. Those players were linebacker Terrel Bernard (ankle/pectoral), defensive tackle DeWayne Carter (wrist), and wide receiver Curtis Samuel (pectoral).

According to FanDuel, the Bills are 3-point favorites. It seems awfully rude of Buffalo to come into Lumen Field and expect to win the game. (OK, that is meant as only partly a joke. The hope is that Seattle can eventually regain the kind of mentality they had in the Legion of Boom years when visiting teams almost assumed they were going to lose at the home of the Seahawks.)

To be fair, though, the Bills should be favored. They have been better over the last few years than Seattle has. The Bills also have the better record entering Week 8.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
