The Seattle Seahawks are in full-on preparation mode for Super Bowl LX this coming weekend, where they'll face a former championship foe, the New England Patriots. These two teams were unlikely Super Bowl picks at the beginning of the 2025-26 season, and yet, they're the last two standing.

Of course, with Super Bowl week comes media sessions and player interviews, and that party kicked off Monday night, where a handful of Seahawks players had the chance to answer questions and talk about the season and the upcoming championship game.

Among those players was standout wideout Jaxson Smith-Njigba, who just had the best wide receiving year of his career, where he led the league in receiving yards. He's hoping to make an unforgettable impact this weekend, but when taking on questions alongside his teammates, JSN was asked a non-Super Bowl question and instead asked about a future goal of his down the road.

Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba talks about the 2028 Summer Olympic Games

It's old news now that the NFL is officially sending players to participate in the flag football event during the upcoming Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California. The only thing is, the teams are considerably smaller than your average 53-man NFL roster, with just 10 players per squad.

Smith-Njigba was asked whether he had any thoughts on being an Olympic participant, but he didn't give a yes-or-no answer; instead, he mentioned a few famous names he would like to team up with.

“I think playing with Garrett Wilson would be fun. A lot of my Ohio State Buckeyes would be cool,”Smith-Njigba said. “I think Tom Brady, you know, him coming back, maybe. That would be awesome.”

Clearly, Smith-Njigba has a Tom Brady dream that is almost certainly unlikely to ever come to pass. That said, his interest in suiting up for Team USA in the Olympics is no longer a secret. The only question is, is there enough time between the start of next season and the summer of 2028 for Smith-Njigba to leap over a few other elite wide receivers in the league

It's almost a sure bet that the likes of Justin Jefferson, Ja'Marr Chase, and Puka Nacua, who are arguably the NFL's top three wideouts, would get their names called before JSN, and that's even now, where the Seahawks' rising star is officially right behind them after the season he just put together.

A lot can happen between now and 2028, and if Team USA comes calling JSN's name, all that would say is how great he's become, and he's one of, if not the, best wideout in the league.

Smith-Njigba is well on his way, and whether he makes it to the Summer Olympics alongside more of his NFL counterparts, the league's introduction of its own players into the flag football event will be an interesting spectacle.
