Terrion Arnold is now a member of the Seattle Seahawks. The embattled cornerback was released by the Detroit Lions in the summer after an incident that found him charged with eight felony counts (four of them for kidnapping and four for armed robbery), but due to at least one connection in the Pacific Northwest, the cornerback has found a new home. For now, according to Adam Schefter.
The NFL might still weigh in on whether Arnold can play soon. His criminal charges are serious and shouldn't be easily dismissed by the league or fans. He hasn't been found innocent in court yet, so the kind of person Seattle is getting is iffy.
One can likely safely guarantee that the Seahawks didn't sign Arnold without some inkling as to his potential availability for 2026 and beyond. Even if he misses half the season, Seattle has so much depth that they are fine. But that is simply in football terms.

The potential positive is that he actually didn't do all the things it looks like he did; he is a much better fit in Seattle's scheme than Detroit's, and he gives Seattle a secondary that includes Devon Witherspoon, Nick Emmanwori, and Arnold, who are all 25 years old and younger.
But again, Terrion Arnold could be found guilty of those felony charges. One would assume he won't be, based on Seattle's latest move. If he is allowed to play, quarterback Jalen Milroe has his back.
The two were teammates at the University of Alabama, and obviously general manager John Schneider would have sought input from Milroe on the character of Arnold. If the QB believes in the CB, which he clearly does, that might have been all Schneider needed to know.
If -- and this is a huge if -- Arnold isn't the kind of person some might take him for because of his charges, and is the kind of human being that Jalen Milroe thinks he is, his signing with the Seattle Seahawks would be a massive move. He is only 23 years old, and he would be a good fit in Macdonald's scheme that doesn't rely solely on man coverage.
He was a first-round choice by the Lions for a reason. If he lives up to that with Seattle, the team is set with its secondary for years, and he immediately upgrades a cornerback group that lost Riq Woolen in free agency. It could be a win-win-win for the team, player, and Seahawks fans. Or it could lead to the downfall of the locker room.
