Seattle Seahawks fans likely knew that general manager John Schneider would find a way to end up with more than the four selections the team had when it entered the 2026 NFL draft, but few might have expected the team to finish with eight. The question is how many of the later-round selections will make a real impact.
After trading back from pick 216 in the sixth round and picking up selections 236 and 255 in the seventh round, giving the team three selections in the final round, Schneider chose cornerback Andre Fuller of Toledo. Of course, Seattle has turned late-round picks into gold before, such as running back Chris Carson.
As for Fuller, the expectations aren't high, but they wouldn't be for any last-round selection. He ran a solid 4.49 40-yard dash and has decent athleticism overall. He needs to work on his tackling technique, but he is 6'1" and 200 pounds, so he is big enough to help in run support.

He might have a better chance at being an immediate special teams player, though. He excelled at that at Toledo, and one can earn a roster spot by proving in minicamp and training camp that they can translate that to the NFL. To be fair, the biggest question about any seventh-round choice isn't their ability, but their work ethic.
Fuller knows he is going to face an uphill battle to make the team, and he understands that he will need to do the little things to secure an NFL paycheck. He's fast enough, big enough, but has to improve his fundamentals. He also can't simply be a special teams-only player.
The good part is that he is going to potentially be on the best team for him. Head coach Mike Macdonald is a defensive back whisperer. If Andre Fuller can learn quickly and then adapt that quickly, he could be playing for the Seattle Seahawks in 2026 and beyond.
