3 Seahawks players who can raise their stock before training camp

Their futures in Seattle could depend on it.

For players on the bubble, whether within their position groups or simply on the team in general, the offseason offers another chance to prove they belong. The Seattle Seahawks have a few players who have either already been given chances and haven't come through, or who haven't had much of a chance at all.

With or without these players, the Seahawks will be just fine this season and will be contending for the playoffs and another championship. That said, for these specific players, while being part of a winning team is exciting and certainly does bring meaning to their careers, everyone wants to play a significant part, but they haven’t yet.

Unfortunately, not all do. Some are backups, while others have massively underperformed. Others are waiting for their turn. The Seahawks have a handful of players who are on the bubble right now, with their futures in Seattle uncertain. With training camp just around the corner, these three Seahawks players have another shot at raising their stock one more time.

The clock is ticking for these 3 Seattle Seahawks' players

Quarterback Jalen Milroe

Sam Darnold will not be relinquishing his spot as the Seahawks' starting quarterback anytime soon, barring the worst-case scenario: he's terrible. So what Jalen Milroe does this offseason could determine the future of the Seahawks' backup quarterback position.

Milroe was the Seahawks' 92nd overall pick in the 2025 draft and has yet to play any meaningful football. As long as Darnold plays as he is, that doesn't exactly bode well for Milroe's chances of starting in Seattle any time soon.

Maybe starting isn't in the cards for Milroe. Maybe he's a backup. It's premature to label him a “career backup” right now, but unless the Seahawks move on from him, that's what he'll be.

What Milroe can do is beat out the Seahawks' current backup quarterback, Drew Lock. This year may be Milroe's last chance to move into the primary backup role, which could give the rest of the league a better, yet still limited look at the young former Alabama star.

Running back George Holani

Let's say that Seahawks rookie Jadarian Price has already won the starting running back job in Seattle, even before training camp has begun. Let's also say that Zach Charbonnet won't return until the latest date expected: sometime in November or December. For the sake of this argument, these scenarios open the door wider than it's ever been for George Holani.

Holani is competing for the Seahawks' backup rusher role, and if the reports out of Seattle are true, he's impressed greatly so far this offseason.

Holani has a chance to accomplish two things now, in training camp, and in the preseason: win the backup job behind Price and perform well enough to make the decision to take him out for Charbonnet upon his return extremely difficult for the Seahawks coaching staff. Holani's stock began to rise a little late last season. Presently, his stock can rise significantly higher.

Guard Anthony Bradford

If there is one Seahawks player on the hot seat going into next season, it's Anthony Bradford. As far as stock is concerned, Bradford's has plummeted over the years. Stocks can rise and fall, however, which means Bradford has the opportunity to climb, and this year is likely his last chance to prove to the Seahawks he's reliable.

Bradford has pressure, though, coming from Beau Stephens, Seattle's 2026 fifth-round draft pick, who is coming off an exemplary college career at Iowa. The time is now or never for Bradford; he's in the driver's seat of his stock car with training camp looming ahead.

If he blows it, Stephens will be right there to take what the Seahawks hoped Bradford would take. It's been rough for the three-year guard, but today is the day for Bradford to raise his stock.
