Friday marks the final preseason matchups for the Seattle Seahawks as they close out their offseason in preparation for a new regular season. Between now and the weekend, the Seahawks will have cut players and kept others who have spent the past three months jostling for a roster spot.
Some cuts won't come as any surprise, but a few others could. On offense, running backs Velus Jones Jr. and Jacardia Wright are facing the possibility of missing the team, as are wide receivers Cody White and Ricky White III. All four players are fighting for final spots on Seattle's 53-man roster, and time is running out.
Sticking with the running back and wide receiver positions, former Green Bay Packers rusher Emanuel Wilson and sixth-round draft pick Emmanuel Henderson Jr. are also up against the clock. Both players could get cut, but both could also make it. Position circumstances will play a role, but either way, these two Seahawks could be on their way out within a few days.

Of the two, Wilson's job might be the safest, only because of the current running back situation the Seahawks are facing. With Zach Charbonnet not expected back until later in the season, the Seahawks will likely start rookie Jadarian Price, with George Holani as the primary backup, in Week 1.
Charbonnet's return could change things for Holani, unless the three-year rusher gives the Seahawks coaching staff enough reasons to keep him right behind Price for the season. Charbonnet's return still threatens Holani's place, but it also threatens Wilson's, who, if he isn't cut over the weekend, could be waived when Charbonnet returns later.
For now, Wilson might be safe with Charbonnet remaining sidelined. It won't be too surprising if Wilson gets set loose or is kept on. As for Henderson Jr., the chances of him making it are slimmer than Wilson's, but not totally impossible. The Seahawks have a solid wideout room with Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Cooper Kupp, Rashid Shaheed, and Tory Horton.
With Jake Bobo out for the season, that could be Henderson’s saving grace if it were not for Montori Foster Jr., who's done nothing but impress this offseason and in the Seahawks' two preseason games. Foster might be running Henderson off the field, but maybe just to the practice field, joining Seattle's practice squad if he doesn't get cut.
Henderson's path is more complicated than Wilson's, but the practice squad seems more likely given that Seattle could be reluctant to give up on their rookie so soon. In any case, both Wilson and Henderson are facing what could determine the rest of their seasons in Seattle, or whether they’re looking for another place to land.
