Most 12s know the drill. Once late autumn hits in the Seattle area, continuous days with temperatures in the 40s and cloudy weather will occur. There will also often be a steady drizzle. A lot of drizzle. This might be the case when the Seattle Seahawks host the Green Bay Packers in Week 15 as well.

If that is the case, and that is what is expected, especially later in the game, then the weather should favor the team more used to playing in the conditions and that team is the Seahawks. According to NFLweather.com, the temperature will remain around 44 degrees, but the chance of rain (13 percent during the first half) will go up to nearly 40 percent by the fourth quarter.

The Packers usually get some bad weather games at Lambeau Field every season, but many times, the issue is snow and not rain. Green Bay played in a downpour when they hosted the Detroit Lions in Week 9, and the Packers struggled. Detroit won 24-14 but the score was 24-6 until very late in the final quarter.

Weather for the Seahawks versus the Packers is a perfect December day in Seattle

Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love was just 23 of 39 passing with no touchdowns and one interception. Sure, the Lions' defense is pretty good, but Seattle's has been much better over the last five games as well. If the precipitation bothers Love, then hopefully, the Seahawks' defense can take care of the rest.

One issue Seattle has had at Lumen Field beyond the weather is simple inefficiency. One of the key reasons the team is 8-5 is because it is 5-1 on the road while being only 3-4 at home. Green Bay is 9-4 overall and 4-2 on the road.

The Seahawks are in first place in the NFC West, but their final stretch of games is daunting. After facing the Packers, Seattle will play the Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, and Los Angeles Rams. The division crown, and likely each team's chance to make the postseason, might come down to the final week of the season and Seattle versus Los Angeles. That game will be in LA where the weather should be just fine.
