Making sense of the Seahawks fantasy football options
By Dan Viens
Trying to figure out how much value to place on Seattle Seahawks players can be a challenge for fantasy football players.
It’s one of the biggest dilemmas we face as fantasy football players; how to reconcile the heart and the head.
As Seahawk fans, we would all love to have Russell Wilson as our QB right? But he’s now elevated himself to the level of fantasy elite so you have to grab him early. Wait too long and you won’t get him, act too quickly because you LOVE him sooooooo much and you may create a ripple affect that will weaken the rest of your draft.
But with Wilson you almost can’t go wrong, he’s that good. The bigger problem for Seattle fans is what you do with the rest of the roster. In previous years you could justify taking Marshawn Lynch at the top of the first round, he was that rare bell-cow running back. With Lynch sliding into retirement the Seahawks are now asking a group of 3 or 4 young RB’s to pick up the slack, muddying the fantasy waters.

Doug Baldwin as a WR pick is an easy call, right? Based on the insane level he reached down the stretch last year…..sure. He led the league in receiving TD’s in 2015 and was rewarded with a fat new contract, but it would be crazy to now expect 100 catches and 1,500 yards from him. There’s simply too much offensive talent around him, and you can bet that Wilson will continue to spread the ball around.
Still, let’s try and take each of these players individually and take a look at what kind of fantasy value they may have in 2016:
