12th Man Rising Staff
Keith Myers – Editor and Lead Writer. Keith and has been a Seahawks fan for just about forever. He’s currently living down in Oregon, and spends all of his time taking care of his two toddler sons, or at least all of his time that’s not spent completely engrossed in all things Seahawk. Hanley Bonynge - Assistant Editor. I am a die-hard Seahawks fan. I live for the NFL season. I grew up in Seattle and currently reside in Los Angeles, where I represent the 12th Man with pride. When not watching football, my time is consumed by reading, brewing beer, cooking, and partaking in and watching various other sports. Twitter: @hbonynge
Diane – Social Media Director is season ticket holder and loves watching a good defensive play unfold! Contributing to 12th Man Rising combines two of her favorite things; football and writing. When not at games, she plays with her camera and dreams of training camp and the next Seahawks season! Twitter: @asthmagirl
Nick Ashbourne – Staff Writer. Living my entire life in Toronto to this point has delivered me heartbreak after heartbreak in the realm of sports fandom. The ruthlessly consistent shortcomings of my beloved Blue Jays and Maple Leafs has left me jaded beyond my years. The object of my affections in terms of football*, the Seattle Seahawks, have given me moments of great joy and great despair in equal measure and seem likely to do so for the rest of my days. When I’m not contemplating or ranting about sports I tend to ponder or rant about a variety of other things. These things include but are not limited to: books, movies, music, politics, video games, the meaning of life and basically anything worth thinking or talking about. *It should be noted that Toronto does have a football team but this team is not only a CFL team but an awful CFL team and to say that no one in Toronto cares about them is an understatement.
Scott Collier – Staff Writer. I’m the human embodiment of a gigantic garage sale, the kind with dozens of cars parked all up and down the street. In it you’d find the old record collection (yes… VINYL records) of everything from “Meet the Beatles” to Joe Satriani’s “Surfing with the Alien” in a box over in the shade. There’s the old weight lifting set out front, the home built Kayak hanging in the rafters (not for sale), an assortment of dog bowls and cages on the grass, the kids old stuffed toys and outgrown clothes, boxes of dusty college books from my days at Central Washington that even predate Jon Kitna. You’d see my old Coast Guard uniforms proudly hanging, and countless guitars, amps, and beer soaked effects boxes, and the obligatory motorcycle helmets and jackets. There’d be several T-Shirts of some of my old rock bands on a table, an outboard motor and a small forest of fishing poles up by the door. What you wouldn’t find are ANY of my old Seahawks shirts or hats. Those were worn out long ago and the new stuff is in the closet waiting for Sundays. I’ve been a loyal fan of the Seahawks since they were worried what would happen when construction workers pulled the center support out from under the brand new Kingdome roof. I’ve seen every player who ever played for Seattle, and remember most of their greatest moments. Like many fans, I feel a personal bond with the Seahawks and their players not because they are the football team where I happen to live. It’s because we’ve grown up and shared some great times together. There’s eternal optimism that the next great Seahawks team is right around the corner. I’ll be here to write about it with you and I hope you’ll enjoy hearing my perspective.
Jason Rubin – Staff Writer. My name is Jason, and I’ve been a Seahawks fan since birth. I was raised in rooms with family, and friends screaming at the TV on gameday (especially the early 90′s, yikes). With that, I bring passion for the Seahawks, and all things NFL to my writing. I live in Seattle, and when I’m not scouring the wire for up to the minute info, you can find me on the bball court, gridiron, or softball diamond. Happy 2012th Man! It’s our year ‘Hawks!!
Micah Nelson – Staff Writer. Micah is Marine from Mill Creek, WA who is a life long die hard sports fan. He lives and breathes Seattle Sports, especially the Hawks. He is Married and has a daughter he currently resides in North Carolina.
David Williams – Staff Writer. I don’t think I could root against a Seattle team, even for money. The Seahawks are in the verge of something very impressive, and as we wait for next season, I’m filling you in on some Seahawks’ history with my rundown of my top ten Sehawks seasons. With the draft around the corner, and the Seahawks sitting on a nice pot of chips, the possibilities are endless. Twitter: @BigHeadDave12
Matthew Christensen – Staff Writer. Grew up in Washington State, and fell in love with Seattle Sports, aspiring journalist and writer. Twitter: @Mchristensen17
Joshua Davis – Staff Writer. Proud Father of two Coug-babies, Melodie Grace & Braxtyn Lee and Ashley is my beautiful lady. I referee high school basketball in both ID and WA…. a lot and as much as I can! GO COUGS! GO HAWKS! Josua is also the editor of All Cougd Up! Twitter: @AllCougdUp

COMMENT POSTING GUIDELINES
Refrain From Personal Attacks: Spirited debates about the Hawks are welcome and encouraged; disagreements will always arise. Any comments that personally attack a writer or commenter, rather than disagreeing with their idea, will be swiftly removed. We welcome disagreements and debate, but keep the comments about football please.
Stay On Topic: Some threads can get off topic, and the entire point of the comments section is to discuss the article and debate the opinion of other posters. This is a sports site, not a political/religious debate forum; comments that are completely irrelevant to the article will be removed.
No Cussing: You will be forgiven for an occasional slip, but profuse use of inappropriate language will result in removal of the comment(s).
No Spam: We already do a pretty good job of weeding out spam. It is not very hard to tell spam from generic comments. Spammy comments will be deleted.
No Trolling: We encourage input from fans of other teams, but if your sole purpose is to write “Seahawks blow” or start another Super Bowl XL debate, your attempts will be met with a swift comment delete, and multiple cases of trolling will be met with a permanent ban.
