Seahawks Add TE Kellen Winslow
By Keith Myers
It’s pretty obvious that the Seahawks don’t listen to me. Not that they should, I’d be upset if they did take their cues from a fan like me. Ironically, I think it’s pretty awesome that they seem do the exact opposite of what I think they should do.
Just yesterday, I said the Seahawks should avoid Kellen Winslow because of all his baggage. Then last night, right before I went to sleep (My kids tired me out. Don’t judge) The Seahawks acquired Winslow for a 7th round pick, that could become a 6th with playing time.
For a 7th round pick, this is a great trade. As much as I didn’t want Winslow, it’s because I thought a 4th would be required to make it happen. I can’t believe that Winslow could be acquired for so little, but it does speak to just how much off-field baggage Winslow brings with him.
On the field, The Seahawks get a great receiving TE. He can’t block to save his life, but they guy can get open and catch a football. He has led his team in receptions in each of the past 3 season.
