Final Analysis

The Seahawks lost a couple big names which caused the talking heads to start questioning the overall strength of this slightly retooled secondary, but not to fear Seahawk fans, there are puzzle pieces being fitted. I don’t see any game-changing additions, but the Hawks didn’t really need any. Depth was a major concern though and that seems to have been addressed. A.J. Jefferson could bring more than is being touted, he was a significant find from Fresno State for he Vikings before he messed up. If Carroll can reign him in, the Hawks won’t miss a beat in their nickel and dime looks, which is bad news for everybody else.

In bonus-ball this offseason, the Hawks locked up both Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas to long-term extensions. Those moves would take this grade straight to A+++ territory, but while plenty noteworthy I’m not including them into the immediate discussion.

Overall Offseason Acquisition Grade: B-
