Outside backs must possess lockdown defensive abilities, as well as the ability to streak up the field and attack (translates to interceptions returned for TDs).

Everyone who is anyone knows both starting corners for the LOB have these necessary skills needed to succeed.

With 12 interceptions between the two, along with 32 combined passes defended, their lockdown abilities are unquestioned; throw in the fact that Sherman had an INT returned for a TD in 2013 and he becomes a coaches first choice for left back, playing a similar style to that of Brazil’s Dani Alves.
