The 10 worst deals in 2015 NFL Free Agency

The 2015 NFL Free agency period is already starting to wind down. The big money has been spent and the big names are now off the market. Rosters aren’t going to change much between now and the NFL draft.

That means we can begin to look around the league and survey the damage. We can also begin to evaluate which teams did well, and which teams threw good money at average players out of desperation.
This year is a bit unique in that there are teams that absolutely must spend money no matter who is available. The NFL’s collective bargaining agreement includes a salary floor, and this is the first year where it takes effect. That extra incentive to spend big has lead to some really stupid money being spent this year.
A good example of these bad contracts is the 2013 Miami Dolphins. Two years ago they spent huge money on a group of fairly unexciting players. They have spent the last few days purging all those bad contract so they can move forward.
So, in the spirit of the 2013 ‘Fins, here is a countdown of the 10 worst NFL free agency contracts so far this year.
