Bruce Irvin plays bad April Fools joke, Seahawks re-sign FB Will Tukuafu
By Paul Novak
A couple of newsworthy items for April fools day, 2015.
Seattle Seahawks management has decided to retain the services of one Will Tukuafu for the upcoming season. Tukuafu was signed last year after regular fullback Derrick Coleman broke his foot in pregame warmups in October prior to the Seahawks taking on the St. Louis Rams.

Originally being picked up by the Seahawks in 2010 as an undrafted free agent, Tukuafu was released and played the next three years with the San Francisco 49ers. Upon his release the Seahawks signed him to fill the hole left by Coleman’s injury and he quickly became a fun guy to watch on Sundays.
Marshawn Lynch does a fine job of running through any hole he sees, no matter how small, or how big the man waiting on the other end may be. But Tukuafu proved to be a force, often laying a huge hit on any defender trying to get their mitts on Seattle’s All-Pro running back.
Tukuafu announced the deal on his Instagram page, though length and value have not yet been released.
Bruce Irvin
People tend to brace themselves for wild stories on April 1st. There are countless false reports out there trying to trick people with blockbuster trades, horrible injuries, and other “breaking news.”
Sometimes, if done right, the story will ultimately get a good laugh and a “you got me!”
And sometimes the joke is so bad that it just causes people to shake their heads, or even send backlash back towards the source. As was the case with Seahawks defender Bruce Irvin after he implied in a tweet that he was caught driving drunk last night.
Then he revealed it was a joke.
Then the backlash.
Lesson learned, hopefully.
