Free Agents

The free agent market is almost completely bare in terms of punt returner options. There are a few guys who can perhaps come in and compete, but none of them are worth getting excited over.

Denarius Moore – As a wide receiver, the former Raider is very reminiscent of Bryan Walters. He’s a slot receiver, and not a particularly good one. He does have sure hands and just enough wiggle once the ball is in his hands to make someone miss and get up field.

Donnie Avery – Avery is an old player who has never lived up to his talent level because of injuries. At this point in his career, he’s a part-time slot receiver who can also return punts and kicks. If the price is right, that will actually fit what Seattle needs fairly well.

Greg Little – At 6’3″, little is far from an ideal punt returner. He does have good hands, and decent overall athleticism. He could certainly handy the punt returner job while also being an upgrade to the overall depth at the position.
