Future Seahawks: Which VMAC Pre-Draft Visitors Stand Out?
By Dan Viens
In the weeks and months leading up to the draft, the Seattle Seahawks and every other NFL team is allowed to host up to 30 predraft visits with prospects. This gives the team an extended opportunity to get to know each player much more in-depth than the limited interview time afforded at the combine.

The list each year makes for interesting reading, and in most cases the team may be tipping their hand a bit when it comes to draft plans. With the limited number of invitations allowed, this time is too precious to be used on smokescreens. In 2012, little-known Bobby Wagner was a pre-draft VMAC visitor before being selected in the 2nd round. Last year Paul Richardson, Cassius Marsh, Garrett Scott and Eric Pinkins were drafted by the Hawks after their visits, while Brock Coyle was signed as an UDFA.
What does this year’s list look like? Let’s take a look at the 19 names I’ve seen mentioned so far, dividing them into 3 categories:
- Players likely being targeted as draft picks
- Priority free agent candidates
- Players who would require a trade up
