Future Seahawks: Which VMAC Pre-Draft Visitors Stand Out?
By Dan Viens
POSSIBLE DRAFTEES:
- Frank Clark, DE, Michigan
- Kristjan Sokoli, DT, Buffalo
- Mark Glowinski, OG, West Virginia
- Robert Myers, OG, Tennessee St.
- Laurence Gibson, OT, Virginia Tech
- Ty Sambrailo, OT/OG, Colorado St.
- Mike Davis, RB, South Carolina
- Ty Montgomery, WR, Stanford
- Vince Mayle, WR, Washington St.
- Chris Conley, WR, Georgia
SUMMARY: Some interesting players here to be sure, with a clear emphasis on the consensus positions of need; WR and OL. Glowinski was a recent visitor after I mocked him to Seattle last week (shameless promotion). Sambrailo has been linked to Seattle since the draft process began. Sokoli is one of the top SPARQ lineman who some have suggested could convert to OL as well. On the receiver front, Conley blew everyone away at the combine and he has enough productivity on tape to be an intriguing project, while Mayle has been called a “poor man’s Anquan Boldin” by draft analyst Rob Rang. Montgomery was one of the first visitors, and would give the team an outstanding punt and kick returner. Frank Clark will slip to the later rounds because of off-field concerns, but could be a steal after the 5th based on talent alone.
