Pick 209: Obum Gwacham, DE, Oregon State
With pick 209, the Seattle Seahawks selected former Beaver Obum Gwacham. Besides having one of the cooler names in the draft, he is also a guy that fits right in to Seattle’s scheme. Gwacham was on the smaller side for a defensive end. He might be 6’5″ tall, but he weighs only 246 pounds.
He has interesting athletic test result, in that he can jump out of the gym but isn’t particular fast. He projects as a Chris Clemons-type LEO that needs significant developmental time.
He also played some wide receiver in college, and fits the profile of a joker tight end. Where he lines up will be interesting to watch going forward.
