2015 NFL Draft: Seattle Seahawks Draft Trade Tracker
By Keith Myers
Seahawks trade 4 picks to move up for Tyler Lockett
The seahawks gave up 4 picks to Washington for pick 69 to pick up Tyler Lockett. Lockett is a good player, but the cost was extremely high.
The Seahawks traded away the pick early in the 4th that they received from New Orleans in the Jimmy Graham trade as well as 3 of their own picks. The Seahawks still have 6 picks on day 4 of the draft.
If you look at the draft value charts, the trade was fairly even, with the Seahawks losing out on the value of a late 7th round pick. The pick is closer on the Harvard chart.
Overall though, the Seahawks came into the draft with 11 picks. They had the picks necessary to make this trade. They still don’t have an offensive line though, and taking a tiny receiver won’t keep Russell Wilson from getting killed. Those extra picks would have been very useful for filling that need.
