Seattle Seahawks draft profiles: Every 2015 UDFA
By Keith Myers
Ronald Martin and Triston Wade
The Seahawks added a highly athletic project safety in the seventh round, and then added two more as undrafted free agents. The problem is that neither of the guys they added after the draft look like NFL players.
Ronald Martin out of LSU is in the 4th percentile athletically at his position. That means that 96% of NFL safeties are more athletic than he is. Considering that the guys that are already on the roster at safety are all great athletes, his chances of making the roster are somewhere between slim and none.
Triston Wade isn’t much better. He’s in the 7th percentile for NFL safeties. Given that he’s also a small school player coming out of Texas-San Antonio, his chances at the final roster might be even worse.
Neither of these guys are typical Seahawks players. They aren’t big or athletic and they don’t offer anything that Seattle doesn’t already have on the roster. Overall, these are very confusing signings.
