The Seattle Seahawks travelled on the road to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the second preseason game for both teams. It was a low-scoring 14-13 loss for the Seahawks.

While it would be easy to look at the score and be disappointed, the Seahawks have much to be pleased about. As a whole, the team looked much better this week as they continue to prepare for the regular season.

Here are my five biggest takeaways from Friday’s loss:

T.Y. McGill is going to make the roster

McGill is a guy that I’m sure most fans had to google the first time he made a play against Denver last week. All he’s done in two games is be incredibly disruptive against the run and the pass.

The Seahawks lack depth at defensive tackle. They really need a guy to step up and show they can handle a few snaps in the rotation against teams with good running game. So far, McGill has been that guy.

We shouldn’t count out Jesse Williams though. He’s also played well, but he doesn’t have the same quickness that McGill has on passing downs in case there is an injury.
