Seahawks at Rams: Coverage Maps, Announcers, Local Listings
By Keith Myers
The Seattle Seahawks travel to St. Louis to take on the Rams this Sunday. We already knew that the Seahawks game will be shown on Fox in the morning time slot. Now we know what other games we’ll get to watch this weekend.
On the call for that game will be Kenny Albert and Daryl Johnston. Albert is one of the least annoying play by play guys, so that’s not too bad. Johnston has a tendency to very one-sided in his coverage, but that is typically when he’s calling Dallas games or one of their rivals. Hopefully he’ll keep it under control this week.
Opposite the Seattle game on CBS is a fairly uninteresting Kansas City-Houston game. If there was ever a showcase of mediocre quarterback play, that would be the game.
The afternoon game is a different story though. Denver and Baltimore are two teams that should make the playoffs and are the class of their divisions. That’ll be an interesting game.
Oddly, Portland appears to be getting the Tennessee-Tampa game. That is presumably so that Oregon Duck fans can watch the NFL debut of Marcus Mariota. That is going to be a couple of bad teams playing some bad football, but at least the rookie QB element will create some interest.
Fox gets the short end of the 2-and-1 stick with week. That is a rule that needs to disappear. There is no reason for the NFL not to allow both networks to show 2 games every week.
All maps are the work of the awesome team from 506sports. I have no idea how they make them, so I am infinitely grateful for their work. If you live near one of the borders, visit their site and you can zoom in get a better look.
