Cary Williams – Stock Up
The Seahawks signed Cary Williams to a 3-year deal this past offseason, and the 30-year-old made quite a first impression on the 12’s this week. Williams made a spectacular play to give the ‘Hawks the lead late in the fourth quarter. The veteran cornerback came up with a strip sack and returned the fumble 8 yards for a touchdown. Williams also held his own in coverage.
Williams will play opposite Richard Sherman all season, filling the void left by the recently departed Byron Maxwell. Cary is a very accomplished corner, and I view him as an upgrade over Maxwell. He has great size, and this week he showed an ability to make game changing plays.
