Seahawks vs Steelers: 5 takeaways from Seattle’s huge win
By Keith Myers
5. Lots of Injuries
This was a very important win for the Seahawks, but it was also a costly one. The Seahawks lost a number of key players to injuries over the course of the game.
The worst of these was star TE Jimmy Graham. He went down in the fourth quarter with what looked like a very serious knee injury. That’s a huge loss for the Seahawks.
Seattle also lost FB Will Tukuafu to a conclusion and CB Marcus Burley to an ankle injury. Seattle was already thin in the backfield. Hopefully he doesn’t miss much time.
Burley is another guy that the Seahawks don’t want to lose for a long time. He isn’t a starter, but he’s currently the team’s starting nickel CB. Without him, they’ll be forced to rush Jeremy Lane back, or go back to the benched Cary Williams.
