4. Seattle’s run defense is championship ready

The big focus for Seattle’s defense was to shut down Minnesota’s No. 1 ranked running game. Stop the run, and force the Vikings to throw the ball. That was the game plan.

Adrian Peterson came into the game as the NFL’s top rusher. He finished today’s game with only 18 rushing yards. 18!

It was a complete team effort by Seattle’s defense. They left their corners on an island for much of the game to commit to stopping the run.

The Seahawks love to make team’s one dimensional. It worked today.
