NFL TV Maps: Week 14

Looking at the NFL TV Maps, the Seattle Seahawks once again play in the early time slot this week, and the afternoon games are also compelling.

The Seattle Seahawks are on the east coast this Sunday to take on the Baltimore Ravens. This game was originally schedule to be in prime time on Sunday Night Football, but it was flexed out of that spot.

It is tough to blame NBC for dumping the game. The Seahawks were 5-5 at the time a decision had to be made, and the Ravens have been terrible all season.

So instead, the game is back on Fox in the early time slot. It also isn’t a marquee game so the most annoying of the announcers are elsewhere. Unfortunately that also means that it isn’t on for most of the country.

The afternoon games could be interesting as well. Oakland-Denver could be huge. Oakland must win to try and salvage their season. A Denver win pushes them closer to a first-round bye and possible the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

Dallas-Green Bay would have been a lot more interesting had Romo not gotten hurt again. Still, it isn’t like the Packers are playing well right now, so an upset is entirely possible.

Believe it or not, a Green Bay win helps Seattle at this point. The Seahawks have caught Vikings for the No. 5 seed, but they lose the tiebreaker to the Packers if the Viking somehow win the NFC North.

Then again, if the Packers lose here, the Seahawks could very well pass them outright by the end of the season. That would mean that the tiebreaker scenario wouldn’t matter.
